Other requirements include, but will not be limited to:
• Ability to generate, cultivate and convert viable clients with an overall goal to increase the Firm’s revenue
• Handle criminal cases from initial consultation through resolution in both state and federal courts within San Diego County
• Commitment to be a team player and serve as a reinforcement to the Firm’s Partners when needed

EDUCATION, BACKGROUND, & SALARY:

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running. Candidates must have at least 3 years’ experience as a practicing criminal defense attorney in San Diego County. Preference will be given to quality over quantity (in years) of experience. Equally important is the candidate’s personality, character, intelligence, and overall integrity. Fluency in writing and speaking Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Salary is commensurate with skill and experience, and is negotiable. The compensation package includes base salary plus generous bonus compensation for revenue generated for the Firm, along with production and performance bonuses. We offer a benefits package including health insurance reimbursement and paid time off. The sky is the limit when it comes to your earnings potential.

This position will primarily be responsible for making outgoing calls to clients, courts, and other agencies. You will also be expected to assist with overflow calls and to lend a helping hand wherever one is needed. When our prospective clients call us for help, they are often going through an emotionally difficult period. You will set the tone for their experience with us. It requires the right combination of communication skills, empathy, and ability to investigate the root of their problems.

Other requirements include:
• Conveying confidence in person and on the phone, demonstrating exceptional communication skills
• Ability to develop rapport with prospective clients and referral sources
• Showing empathy to potential new clients to put them at ease during their difficult time
• Directing the caller to the appropriate team member, consistent with the Firm’s key administrative policies
• Embracing attention to detail, transparency and accountability
• Strong multitasking skills
• Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic
• Treating a client or task at 4:30 P.M. on a Friday with the same care and compassion as one Monday morning at 9:00 A.M.

Initial compensation will be based upon prior experience. The successful candidate will have opportunities for personal, professional, and financial growth.

EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND:

Candidates must have experience managing calendars, creating and editing a variety of documents, and assembling and maintaining client files. Being bilingual in Spanish is not required, although it is preferred.

You will play an integral role in creating the ultimate client experience at our Firm, ensuring that it is second to none. This position will primarily be responsible for handling all incoming calls to the Firm, along with making outgoing calls to clients, courts, and other agencies. When our prospective clients call us for help, they are often going through an emotionally difficult period. You will set the tone for their experience with us by exhibiting the right combination of communication skills, empathy, and ability to investigate the root of their problems. You will also be expected to assist, and report directly to the Firm’s Legal Assistants, and provide administrative support as needed to other departments.

Other requirements include:
• Conveying confidence in person and on the phone, demonstrating exceptional communication skills
• Ability to develop rapport with prospective clients and referral sources and take detailed phone messages.
• Showing empathy to potential new clients to put them at ease during their difficult time
• Embracing great attention to detail, independent problem solving, transparency and accountability
• Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic and strong multitasking skills
• Intuitive and proactive approach to serving others
• Ensures reception, conference room, and visiting attorney areas are maintained to Firm standards
• Treating a client or task at 4:50 P.M. on a Friday with the same care and compassion as one Monday at Noon.
