Nicole Van Lear
With over a decade of customer service experience, Nicole’s passion for helping those accused of a crime was solidified when she began working as a Paralegal Intern at the San Diego Public Defender’s Office, where she learned the inner workings of San Diego’s criminal justice system.
Since joining the Firm in the summer of 2018, Nicole obtained her Paralegal Certificate with a focus on criminal law from the University of San Diego. Nicole reports being drawn to our Firm due in large part to the Firm’s longstanding dedication to commitment to public service, particularly the numerous scholarships the Firm has sponsored the past few years and the numerous local organizations it supports.
At any given time, on any given day, Nicole transitions seamlessly from Office Manager (serving as the direct supervisor to all non-attorney staff) to Legal Assistant to Receptionist. She is an extremely valuable asset to the Firm its clients. When not excelling at helping the Firm’s clients get through bad situations, Nicole enjoys traveling, kickboxing, and playing beach volleyball.
