Laura Gonzalez Mendez

Paralegal

As further proof of our Firm being at the forefront of fashion and criminal defense in San Diego, the Firm was thrilled to welcome certified paralegal Laura Gonzalez Mendez to the LOODPS family in February 2023.

Time management, efficiency, and organization are some of Laura’s greatest attributes, skills she mastered while obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Family Consumer Science in Fashion Design from the California State University of Long Beach (CSULB).  At CSULB, Laura learned creative design techniques, garment constructions, resourcing, and business development. Fashion design also piqued Laura’s interest in law pertaining to the employment and environmental law topics briefly covered as related to garment production and outsourcing.  From 2019 thru 2022, Laura worked at the San Diego Superior Court as a Court Operational Clerk, often assisting self-represented litigants who found themselves struggling to navigate the rules of filing their cases.

While with the Court, Laura primarily focused on family law proceedings including dissolution, child custody, domestic restraining orders, and child support matters. Those three years with direct contact with the people of San Diego further inspired Laura to pursue her paralegal certificate from the University of San Diego, where she was taught Criminal Law by our very own Associate Attorney (and Adjunct Professor) Ally Keegan. 

When not fine tuning her organizational skills at the Firm, Laura also enjoys training for long distance runs and hiking.
